Step 1: Open Google Docs and upload an image.

To get started first we need to upload an image in Google Docs.

  • Open Google docs
  • Click on the insert menu on the Main menu bar
  • From the drop-down Select image
  • Now Under image select the source from where you need to upload the image. You have various options to upload the image such as “Upload from Computer”,”Search the web”,”Drive”,”Photos”,”By URL” or “Camera.

Step 2: Start the cropping mode.

  • Once the image is uploaded, Click on the image to select it.
  • Now Navigate to the quick access toolbar and click on the “crop image” icon

You can also enter the crop mode by selecting the image and then double-clicking on it.

Once the crop mode is enabled adjust the image as per your requirement.

Step 3: Crop the image

Crop the image as per your requirement by dragging the corners of the image as shown below.

Step 4: Finalize the crop

You can also use the keyboard shortcut by using the key combination CTRL+V on windows pc or CMD+V on Mac to paste the image copied from Google docs.

Step 9: Save the image.

Now click on the “Save and Close” button on the top right of the Drawing Canvas to save and close the drawing editor.

Step 10: Cropped Image inserted into Google Sheet.

Once you click on “Save and Close” your cropped image will be inserted into Google Sheets. You can adjust its position by using drag and drop.
