# How to Find Slope in Google Sheets( Easy Guide)

In this tutorial we will learn ,How to find Slope in Google Sheets

To find a slope in Google Sheet, create a Scatter Chart from your Dataset, adda trendline to your Scatter Chart and then change the Label from None to Use Equation .Equation label in appear in your chart using the formula “y=mx+b” where x denotes the slope of the trendline.

## How to Find Slope in Google Sheets : Step by Step Guide

A line’s slope specifies its direction and angle of inclination. A positive slope is a line that rises from left to right. A line that flows down from left to right, on the other hand, has a negative slope.

### Enclosed are the steps to Find Slope in Google Sheets (Without using Charts)

Google Sheets comes with in-built tools to create line graph from a specific dataset.

In this example we will create first create a scatter chart with a trendline and then find the slope of the trendline.

### Step 3 : Change the Chart type to “Scatter Chart”

• Once you click on Chart under Insert menu options.Chart editor windows will open on the right side of your Google Sheets.
