How to Find Slope in Google Sheets( Easy Guide)

In this tutorial we will learn ,How to find Slope in Google Sheets

To find a slope in Google Sheet,create a Scatter Chart from your Dataset,adda trendline to your Scatter Chart and then change the Label from None to Use Equation .Equation label in appear in your chart using the formula “y=mx+b” where x denotes the slope of the trendline.

How to Find Slope in Google Sheets : Step by Step Guide

A line’s slope specifies its direction and angle of inclination. A positive slope is a line that rises from left to right. A line that flows down from left to right, on the other hand, has a negative slope.

Enclosed are the steps to Find Slope in Google Sheets (Without using Charts)

In the next step we will find the slope of this Chart with trendline using equation as a label.

Step 7 : Go to Customise->Series->Label

  • Click on the Customise tab.
  • Scroll down and expand the series option .
  • Now Under Series scroll down and go to Label option

Step 8 : Change the Label from None to Use Equation

Step 9 : Equation label will appear on the Graph

The trendline is labeled in Google Sheets using the equation “y=mx+b.” The variables x and y are variables, while the numbers m and b are both numbers. The slope of the trendline is determined by the value of m, which is the number to the left of x.
