Step 1 : Open Google docs
Step 2 : Insert and image or skip this step if you already have an image uploaded in Google docs
Step 3 : Select the Image

Step 3 : Select “Break text”
Now Click on the image and Select “Break Text” from the available options.
By default “In line ” option is selected .However you cannot lock the image with the default inline option.
Step 4 : Expand ” Position Options “
- After choosing the “Break text” or another choice from the panel, the panel will expand to show more options.
- On the right side of the panel, locate the “Move with text” option. Click on the down arrow in front of Move with text, then proceed to the next step.
Step 5 : Select “Fix position on page” option
Upon clicking on the down arrow infront of “Move with text” option, a drop-down menu will appear.
This menu presents three options:
- Move with text
- Fix position on page
- Position options.
Select the “Fix position on page” option from the drop-down menu. This action commands Google Docs to maintain the image in its current placement.
