By adding Special Characters from Google Docs

The simplest method to add a Special Character in Google Sheets is by first creating the Symbol in Google Docs and then copying it to Google Sheets.

Step 1: Open Google docs.

Step 2: Go to the Main Menu toolbar, Click on Insert Menu, and Select Special Characters.

  • Once you click on Special Characters under the Insert menu drop-down. A new “Insert Special Characters” screen will pop up.

Depending on the Symbol required you can change it to Emoji, punctuation, Number, Format & Whitespaces, Modifier, etc.
