### #By Using the TRUCN function

To stop Google Sheets from rounding off your numbers, you can use the Truncate function which will truncate the input value to a specific number and remove the additional less significant digits.

**Step 1: Decide how many decimal places should be visible**

In the below example, Google Sheets has rounded off the number and only the last 8 decimal places are visible.

We decide to show only the last 4 Decimal places. Adjust as per your input value.

**Step 2: Use the Truncate function.**

Click on an empty cell where you want to see the desired truncated value.

- Type the below function in the function area
*fx*. - Two parameters are required for the function to work. The first parameter is the value in the cell to be truncated, and the second is the number of decimal places that you want to retain.

Adjust the Column and number value as per your requirement.

=TRUNC(B1,6)

**Step 3: Now press Enter.**

After pressing enter you will see the desired value on your selected Column. In this example, you can see the result in Column **C2** as shown below.

The truncate function has retained the last 6 decimal places.
