How to Delete Chrome Autofill Data

  • On your desktop or Laptop, launch the Chrome browser.
  • In the top right corner, click the three dots.
  • Clear browsing data by going to Settings > Privacy and protection > Clear browsing data.
  • Select All Time, then Clear Info.

The data from autofill is saved in the Google cloud. If you save credit card information on your device, it will be accessible on your smartphone and tablet as well. When you delete your browsing history, sign-in data, and passwords, the information is deleted from all of your devices.

How do I make changes to the Autofill data?


Follow these steps to edit credit card information, address information, and other data stored in Google Chrome:

  • Launch the Chrome web browser.
  • In the top right corner, click the three dots.
  • Navigate to the Autofill portion of the Settings menu.
  • Go to Addresses and More > Add an Address to add a new address. Add a new line, type in the address, and hit Save.
  • To add a new credit card, go to Payment methods > Add, fill in the credit card details, and save.
  • Simply pick Edit from the three dots on the right to make changes to a current address or credit card.
  • To remove a current address or credit card, pick Remove from the three dots on the right.

Autofill for a particular website can be turned off.

  • Open the Chrome web browser.
  • The three dots in the top right corner should be clicked.
  • Pick Passwords from the Autofill section of Settings.
  • A list of websites with usernames and passwords will be shown.
  • Pick Remove from the three dots next to the password you want to remove.
  • Simply ignore the suggestion the next time Chrome offers to save your password for that particular website.
