Step 1: Open Google Sheets with your Dataset

In this example, we will use the below dataset with a few rows of data in magenta color text to sort by text color and bring it to the top of our dataset

Step 2: Create a Filter

  • Click on any cell on your dataset.
  • Now Go to the Data menu and Select “Create a filter” from the drop-down
  • Now you see a filter being created in the Top header of each Column

Step 3: Filter by Text Color

  • Now Click on the Filter icon on the header of a column as shown below
  • Choose “Sort by Color”->”Text Color”->”magenta”(Choose color based on your text color ) from the drop-down options
