How to group Rows in Google Sheets
Step 1: Choose the Rows that need to be grouped.
- First, you need to Choose the rows that you want to group together.
- To Choose the Rows Click on the first row.
- Now press the Shift key and click on the row until which you want to group the data
For example, we have selected the rows from A2 to A14
Step 2: Group the Selected Rows
Now right click and Click on “view more actions “->Group rows 2-14“
The selected rows will be grouped as shown below which you can expand and collapse using the plus and minus signs.
How to group Columns in Google Sheets
Step 1: Choose the Columns that need to be grouped.
- First, you need to Choose the Columns that you want to group together.
- Click on top of the Column headers to select a Columns
Step 2: Group the Selected Column
Now right-click and Click on “view more actions “->Group Columns A-D” (Choose the columns depending on your requirement and spreadsheet dataset)
Your Selected Columns will be grouped as shown below and a minus sign will appear on top which you can use to collapse the Columns.
