How to Create a Custom Template in Notion: Step by Step Guide
Here are the steps to create a Custom Template in Notion. In this example, we are going to create a To-do List
Step 1: Open the Page in Notion where you need to create a custom template
Open a New Notion page and provide a title for your Custom Template.

Step 2: In the typing area on your Notion page, type /
You can also click on the plus sign which will also bring the drop-down menu.

Step 3: Now from the drop-down, you can select Heading, title page, for example, to add different categories, select “Heading 1”

Step 4: Now type the Heading, Similiar Add more headings.
Step 5: Now drag the heading on the right to appear in a horizontal line.
- Hover your mouse cursor in front of the Heading which you want to move until you see a message “Drag to Move”.
- Now Drag the heading to the top right beside until you see a blue vertical line and then release the mouse.
- Similarly, drag the other heading

Step 6: Now click on the plus sign under one of the Heading and turn it into a To-do list

Now From the options select To-do List

Similarly, add your content under other headings. Under Done, You can add a text first for example archive then add a to-do list.
