#Unzip files using ZIP extractor

Step 1: Logon to Google drive

Step 2: Locate the compressed file which you want to Unzip.

Step 3: Select the file, Right Click and Choose Open with ->ZIP extractor

Click on “Authorize ZIP Extractor

Step 5: Sign in to your Google account

Now it will ask you to Sign in to your Google account and provide the necessary authorization.

Click on Allow

Step 6: Extract the file into Google drive.

Once you Sign in and provide the necessary permissions you will get the option to Extract /Unzip the files.

Click on Extract

Your files will be extracted.

#Using CloudConvert app

You can also use another app called CloudConvert to unzip files within Google drive.

Following are the steps to unzip files using CloudConvert.

Step 1: Select the file, Right Click and Choose Open with ->CloudConvert

Step 2: Authorize the CloudConvert App

Log on to your Google account and provide the required permissions.

Step 3: Register and create an account at CloudConvert

While using the ZIP extractor we were not forced to create and register an account. However, with CloudConvert we need to create an account before proceeding further.

After creating an account you will get the option to extract/unzip the file in Google drive.
